I would like Susan to sing “Fame”.  After all, who knows more about being catapulted into world wide fame over night than Susan.  Here’s the video of Susan singing it 1998.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cwuRueWgcYY   The words were so prophetic (see below), especially the part where she says, “people will see me and cry”.  Her audition had people crying all over the world and a lot of us still cry whenever we hear her sing.  Plus there’s been a lot said about how world wide “fame” hit her like a demolition ball.  Who better to sing about “Fame” than Susan.  And how about the line “remember my name”, like who hasn’t heard her name now, and who could possibly forget it?

I would like the next CD to be all original songs written especially for Susan`s powerful voice. With all new material maybe she would be respected as a true artist and not just a singer who does covers.

Saw the interview with ....Hector by Ewing Stevens in New Zealand last week.  He said the new cd will be all new originals except for maybe 2 covers, more uptempo and the songs are now being written and although in the early stage the album is already being worked on.  Not by Susan, of corse, yet, but it is in progress.  This is so exciting.

Diane I listened to the same interview.  Plans are for mostly original music written just for Susan with a couple “covers.”  It may be that the “covers” will be ones suggested by Susan’s fans here.  In any event, I am eagerly looking forward to the release of her new CD—maybe this year?

Whatever she sings I wish it would be on DVD a la Celtic Woman—just simpler sets/

I’d love a DVD too Treegirl.  It would be tremendous if they put out a CD/DVD set.  I’m not sure how Syco would put it together, but Sony certainly has the talent and money for such an undertaking.

I would like Susan to sing “Flyin On Your Own” by Rita McNeil.  Its a very empowering song, and the melody would suite Susan’s voice.  I can just hear her singing it:

I think I answered this question once before and my choice has not changed.  I’d love her to sing Over the Rainbow.  I guess we’ll see shortly!

I do want to hear Memory.  But I’ll trust her judgmment.  She did well with the last one.

I really don’t care what Susan sings.  I think she can probably sing most anything.  I just want her to be happy with her work.  She deserves to put what she wants on this new CD.  And a DVD would be fantastic!  Part of her charm is watching her perform.

I would like Susan to sing my favourite song ‘Sometimes’ (Norman Newell/Carl Davis, from the movie ‘Champions’) Originally sung by Elaine Paige, it’s on her 1984 album ‘Cinema’. My favourite album before Susan came along. It requires a powerful voice and Susan certainly has that!
