19th August 2009 Welcome Message from Susan

This is exciting as this is my first time on the Internet.  And this is on top of what has so far been a very exciting year.

The first thing I would like to do is to take this opportunity to thank everyone for all their support, I have received so many cards and letters and mementos, I always treasure them and I am always touched. I feel very humble and hope that I can make you happy.

Many of your letters were asking after my health so I would like to assure everyone that I am happy and well and I am really enjoying my journey so far.

People have asked me whether I sometimes wished that I had not left Blackburn and had kept my life simple – and my resounding answer is a definite NO! I return to Blackburn whenever I can as I have good friends and family there and it is the backbone of my life. I also enjoy my time in London and the work I am doing there.

I say work but it never feels like work, how can having your photograph taken wearing lovely clothes possibly be work? I have to keep pinching myself. I am in the studio now working on my album, on the first day that I went into the studio I thought, “Susan, what have you got yourself into! I want my mum!”. But every day there has been a pleasure – it is so liberating to be able to sing and to be able to see some of my dreams coming true.

Everyday I say the same thing to myself, ‘Baby steps’, and that’s what I am taking. I never look too far ahead because most of the time I still don’t truly believe this is happening to me! So I will hopefully have taken a few more of my baby steps the next time I send a message, which I hope you will find interesting.

I send you all my best wishes and sincerest thanks for all your kindness and support, it has meant so much to me.

Hi Susan,

Now that you have become the best-known lady on the planet (and I kid you not), you see what happens to the lesser-known celebrities who harbor great jealousy.

It would be good to say a prayer for Sharon Osbourne.  Jealousy eats the soul and I don’t look for anything good to happen for her in the future.

Susan, the press has done the thing to get attention demeaning your appearance, but you are beautiful to look at…we know because we see you.  You are, in truth, a very beautiful woman…and it’s all natural, which is prettier than all the man-made beauty in a basket.

You are much larger than Sharon or Amanda or any of the press people who try to get cheap attention.  You are my inspiration!  Hang in there and laugh it off.  Your fans are doing all the getting mad for you!  It really doesn’t mean anything…but it says something about Sharon and Amanda!

Dear Susan, so sorry for the hurtful things Amanda Holden and Sharon Osbourne have done. They should be removed as judges. Your fans love you.

Dear Susan,
I’ve been around a few more years than you, and let me just say my all time favorite female singer in that time was Momma Cass Elliott.  She had a one of a kind voice of an angel, but unfortunately she left us way too young.  My point is your voice has now put you on the same petestal as Mamma, at least for me.  I hope and pray you are around for a long time, and we get the chance to hear as much music from you as possible.  You have a beautiful voice.  Men are not suppose to cry, or at least admit that they do.  You my dear made me cry when I listened to “Wild Horses”.  I’m buying your new CD for my sister’s birthday present, when it’s released here in the states.
Peace be with you.

Dearest Susan, you probably don’t realise to what extent an impact your singing can make on people. To put it simply, I can think of no other artist who has ever moved me the way you have. I’ve been going through a rough couple of weeks and today, feeling distressed I went on the net and a link to “wild Horses” on this site jumped at me and here I am. I played your clips and you took me to some beautiful place where all the woes just simply disappeared. Like may other comments here, I had goose bumps, I smiled and shed some tears of joy.

I used to take music for granted, but now for the first time in my life I feel compelled to go out and buy your albums. That probably sounds incredibly strange, but that’s how I feel.  You are a Godsend to the world! Thank you for the music! You are amazing.

Hi Susan, I found the video of you on Britain’s Got Talent and as soon as you started to sing I fell in love with your wonderful voice. You are a good person Susan. You deserve everything the future hold for you. I am so happy for you. Please do not change who you are because of the fame. That truly would be a shame. I wish you all the happiness doing what is so obviously what you love to do…Sing.

Yours,

Kevin

FINDING DESTINY

One life,
One spirit,
One soul.
How can I,
As God’s child,
Find myself.
What is the answer.
I search,
I seek,
But to what avail.
Today I go within,
To emerge to a higher plain.
Today I will surrender my heart,
My mind,
My thoughts.
Today I will grow,
Today I will conquer my fears,
Today I will endure,
Today I will find my destiny.

With loving thoughts of you in our heart,
Daniel and Debbie Bryant
