21st November 2009 Meeting Donny Osmond!
Hello everyone,

Susan Boyle here.

I am writing this blog on the eve of my performance on the X Factor.

A few weeks ago my phone rang and it was Simon Cowell asking If I would like to be on the show, now when the big boss himself invites you don't hesitate to say yes!

The past weeks have been extremely exciting, I have visited Los Angeles for the second time, it felt more familiar this time and I was able to really get my bearings.

I had the opportunity to meet one of my idols - Donny Osmond who came to my hotel and presented me with a bunch of purple roses! He stayed for some while, we chatted and had quite a giggle singing some of his own tunes. I felt like a teenager again.

His son Don came too - he looked as handsome as his father and not unlike Alan Osmond, Donny's older brother.

I was exhausted when we arrived back in the UK but felt humbled by the experience and by meeting so many kind and generous people who stopped me in the street to give me their best wishes.

I now send my best wishes to you all.

My album, 'I Dreamed A Dream', comes out on Monday here in the UK. I only hope that I have done you all proud and that you enjoy the songs.

God bless.

Susan

Dearest Susan,
Congratulations!!!! On being number one for the fourth week in a row, and you now have the number one Christmas album also! Hooray!
As always I’m thrilled for you….
Please read the comments on your latest treasured video ‘Fame’ on YouTube, we are all smitten again with you, don’t worry it never stopped, it’s just getting stronger….
Re: the 007 info in the press, they will be the lucky ones,if you sing for them. Someone said they haven’t gone to one of those movies in a very long time but if you sing the theme song they will definitely see the show.
All your fans will feel the same so they know, what a tremendous draw you are to the public. If you decide to sing for the show, you’ll be fantastic!!
Tickets for the show will have to be sold way in advance at the cinemas, smile. You said you can teach acting if you wanted to, will you act in it? A small part? Wouldn’t want them to make too many demands on you. That would be even better! Let them see how well you can act too.
Keep soaring our multi talented Susan! We love you!
Have a great day and continue to enjoy your R&R..Lots to think about.Smile.
I wish you a wonderful Christmas and very Happy New Year!!
God Bless you. Superstar,“Superb” Susan….xxxx Sandra.

Hello Susan,

Thank you for restoring the true meaning of “popular music”.
In ancient times, only royalty and the rich could enjoy the pleasure of elegant music. You have joined a very short list of ladies who have the ability to evoke such strong emotional response to music. Susan Boyle has joined a select group of gifted vocalists who can bring out true joy, love and soaring exuberance.
Sing your heart out lady!

Hi Susan,Due to a hectic lifestyle as a St John Ambulance volunteer, I have now been able to find your ‘Dreamed a Dream’ on ‘watch again’ on my comp. It is unbelievable, reduced me to tears (of happiness), and most of all….YOU Susan…you are Number One! Your album is under my Xmas tree & I cannot wait to hear it and constantly play it.Thank you Susan, you have given me strength for my ‘missed childhood’ due to events that I cannot mention here. You have a WONDERFUL Christmas and we, your fans, look forward to more warm and strong songs from you in the many years to come.

Dearest Susan,
Just saw a treasured video of you on YouTube. It was posted after someone found it in their collection of family videos. Apparently you entered a contest on 4-10-98 in Lanarkshire and sang “Fame”.
You were wonderful! Amazing then and now….We remember your name with absolute joy now. Did you call it or what? Thank you for persevering, you are such a wonder, you’ve enriched the lives of so many people.Giving and receiving joy. We are all thrilled to see you, as lovely as ever.
I looked at a movie(the true story)about Thomas Kinkade, the artist, called “Christmas Cottage.” His mentor was an artist named Glen Wesman. It told of his life and what motivated him to paint. His paintings are so heartwarming and very popular here.He started in the late 1970’s.
Listening to him narate his story just made me think of the passion that motivates someone to keep going, when they’re Blessed with the gift of music/singing,(like you) art or writing etc. The need to express that gift inside that cries out for release…. I can understand it a little.
It made me think of your motivation throughout the years and all I can say is “Thank God” you never gave up, He Blessed you and has lifted you to the sky and beyond….It’s wonderful when dreams come true, millions of people agree with me when I say ‘We’re exceedingly grateful that yours did.”
Because we are Blessed along with you; you warm hearts and lift the spirits of so many, with your gift and wonderful personality.
Awesome combination!
Have a marvellous day!
P.S. I would like to add something that I’ve admired all along and that is your style of dressing, it’s elegant and modest, love that about you. So nice to see that you haven’t changed, as shown by the gowns & other items of clothing you choose to wear now. Your good taste remains the same, as seen in your old videos,in addition to this new one. Love your style Susan!
My best wishes to you as always….xxxx Sandra.

Susan,
I forgot to add that I have seen your duet with Elaine Paige on youtube and it is one of the best clips I have ever seen. You were clearly excited at getting to sing with your idol and delivered a wonderful performance.

Hello Susan,
I am so glad that your dream is finally becoming true and was truly thrilled when you recieved you award for your debut album which is world number one.
I too saw the thumb sucking and crying you were doing supposedly due to stress and was concerned for you.But I have since learned,to my immense relief, that the photos were edited and did not portray the real situation(sucking your thumb, after joking with fans that you would take “baby steps” and crying because you had just been presented with a quilt from some fans). It seems some in the media are still trying to portray you as mentally unfit,I wish they would give up and report how well you are really doing. You are clearly settling into your new life as a superstar and hopefully you will be around for many more years,to thrill us with your stunning voice, wonderful personality and hopefully more CD releases.
I hope you are able to go back to you home in Scotland for the Christmas/New Year period and can get time to sit back and relax.
I wish you a Merry Christmas and A Happy New Year and I thank you for sharing your wonderful voice and charming personality with the world.
regards,
Doris

Dearest Susan/Angel/World’s # 1!
Just had to add that, it’s great news, although you’ve been number one to us from the start. I checked the gallery to see if you added that photo of you, at home with the framed picture of yourself with the awards for your album….but alas no, at least not yet. Soon please? Saw one of you leaning on it, gorgeous too, looking sooooo happy!
I read an article on how your community feels, about the portrayal of your village on your show, don’t blame them one bit. We have seen other good pictures during the last few months and they could have shown all of it.
I hope that you will continue to be very proud of your home town, don’t let anyone put it down in your presence. Every where has it’s up & down sides, that’s life, but it does not make us any better or worst than others. It’s who we are as human beings that really matter.
Will we hear from you via a message or update soon? Hope so.
You must feel on top of the world, breaking all those records! I couldn’t
be happier for you. It’s so well deserved!
Nice to see that you visited your old ‘High School.‘The staff and students must have been thrilled! Superstar Susan came to celebrate with them.
Well my dear Susan, I’d better stop now, please continue to enjoy your time with family and friends,in addition to your time for introspection.
May you be guided well in making future plans.
Have a wonderful Christmas and may you also be Blessed with a Healthy and Happy New Year!!xoxoxoxo
Love you dear lady. Sandra.
