Last Day Down-Under
10th November 2011
Sadly, it’s my last day in Australia. I have had the most unbelievable trip and seen so much of Sydney. This city has really been wonderful and it’s with a heavy heart that I’m leaving tonight. Wednesday evening was spent with a dear friend Molly Meldrum, who I first met back in 2009 when he interviewed me in Scotland and we caught up again on his home soil in Sydney to talk about the album and what I have been up to over the past year.
My last day was action packed, up at 5am to perform on the Today Show where I sang three songs, Both Sides Now, Who I Was Born To Be and Autumn Leaves and had a great chat with the hosts. Then it was back to the hotel to do interviews for New Zealand and Asia before last minute packing and departing to the airport. I have really had the most amazing 12 days away and it’s hard to believe that in that time we have been to New York, Los Angeles and Sydney. It’s been one of the most fantastic trips I have ever done and finally making it down to Australia was well worth it.
I am so grateful to everyone who has helped make this possible. I have the most wonderful team and I am one lucky lady. I also cannot wait to return to Australia and explore more of this wonderful country. Everyone is so kind and positive and with the glorious weather, well, you couldn’t ask for a better destination.
