Susan has been amazed at the amount of entries into Susan’s Search. Visit Susan’s official YouTube Channel and submit your rendition of Silent Night. Susan will pick one lucky winner to sing a duet with on her next album.
Since childhood, I had only ever wanted to sing as I loved how it made me feel and (non vainly) loved that people loved the sound. It just made my truly happy.
As far back as I can remember, my cousin and I would sing and harmonize, every chance we got.
I left school at 16 with reasonable grades. At that time, my cousins husband and his friends had a band, all men, and happened to be looking for a lead singer, that became me! I loved this and people really enjoyed listening, however, I was, at the time, a little shy and uncompetitive. A band called Gaberlunzie who were friends of my father talked about how I’d be very popular in Canada, they were about to tour there. But, being in love at the time, I married my childhood sweetheart at 18 instead. I had my beautiful daughter when I was 20 years old. During that time I developed a critical medical condition which resulted in 8 years of horrendous life-stopping pain, until at last, in 1986 surgeons discovered the problem, almost too late, and fixed it, saving my life. I’m extremely thankful, especially for the sake of my precious daughter and mother, by the grace of God, I was spared. Sadly, my singing career went on hold as ‘real life took over, although I have no regrets about that.
Still, all I want to do is sing. As I am not nifty with vids and uploading and utube and the likes, I missed out on your competition Susan. What a pity.
I still believe in myself though, and my ‘non vain’ ability to create (I have been told) a lovely and comforting melody.
I am also a creative writer and among a few other things, I currently have a ‘work in progress’ , in the shape of an inspiring novel about love for humankind and nature’s healing ability. There are lots of laughs in there too, another one of natures healing gifts.
All the very best to the winner of the competition and may it bring them joy.
Love and happiness to you Susan x

Dear Susan
my name is Jessica long. I wanted to take the time to thank you first of all for giving me the chance to audition! You have an amazingly wonderful voice . You are very thoughtful not many people would give this fabulous chance to others as you are doing! I feel like I have been blessed just being able to audition for you I hope you consider my selection of silent night
. Thank you so very much. your voice is truly a gift from god. Sincerely Jessica
Dear Susan.
You are blessed and `God Gifted` with a freshness and simplicity of heart, soul and a forthright mind which is endearing and inspiring. Your search is nearing its conclusion and you will no doubt soon have the enormous task of selecting your own soul-mate from those whom you have provided the opportunity to share your stage. I wish for you the clarity of vision and perception which will come from your soul in declaring your OWN choice to ............`GIFT`
Whilst you have provided a platform of opportunity in voice….. you have also provided me with an opportunity to share with you an inspiration of 22 years ago which coincidentally I entitled “Divine Dream”. It has lain dormant since and have often mused at when any possibility of it surfacing might arise.
I have arranged 2 songs from the 40`s and 50`s being sewn together. Both are prayerful but one being pop and the other trad. Both share same `phrase` lines which allow one to seamlessly interface with the other. They have similar chords, tempo and rhythm and are suited to duetting Male and Female vocalists who sing towards each other in responce. Both have lapsed copyright.
Many of the forum participants on your website have been emboldened by your own endeavors and have commented on ......stepping out….. living the dream…... and nothing is impossible to those who dare ...... I am encouraged then to dare to dream to live it, and seek your interest.
You did that Susan just last year and have encouraged a worldwide force of dreamers to awaken to ............ `opportunity.`
Many thanks and God bless.
Mike

Susan your fans are back with so many sweet stories about you. I loved you singing with Elaine Paige, it was astounding and spectacular! I wish I had something that I could give you and give back what you give to me and my susa family. Just called to say I love you…........................................
Dear Susan,
My name is Brian Burns and I live in Glasgow. I was a primary teacher for 33 years and about 18 months ago I took early retirement. Like yourself I cared for 3 elderly relatives who have now passed away. Great Uncle Sam was in his late 70s and died of a chest infection. His sister Great Aunt Maggie was unable to walk and she died at 97. Their little sister was Great Aunt Rita who had dementia and she died at 87. I loved them all and it was a privilige to be their carer although at times it was tough also being a primary teacher. Also my dad had to take retirement as a school bus driver after 3 heart attacks so I had to take care of him also. Then my dear mum also took a heart attack and I was her carer too. Being a carer is a wonderful opportunity to express God’s Gift of love and I don’t regret one moment. My life has changed so much but I just want to say a huge THANK YOU for the inspiration you have given others by your example, indeed not only did you have a dream but you realised it and now you are helping someone else to realise their dream. God Bless you for that.I love my retirement but I would dearly love to be taken out of my comfort zone and so I managed to master the webcam and sing Silent Night for you. Of course It would be a HUGE DREAM to meet you never mind sing with you. Susan, God Bless you. If you ever get back to the Dear Green Place even if I am not successful in the audition would it be possible for me to show you around my church, St Aloysius, Garnethill and treat you to lunch and that would be a dream realised for me to meet you in person. I am a church worker and I thank God for the opportunity but God Bless you in your work and your continuing success. Brian xxx
My dear Susan,
I want to be a singer since I was two years old! You can understand me, I have always felt in my heart that I had to communicate my feelings by singing; I even did not care if I had a good voice or not, I just thought that I HAD to sing
))) It is something that someone is born with, you know what I mean.
I entered your competition as Aisa www.youtube.com/officialaisa
I hope that you will be the good star who will finally make my dream come true.
I adore your art and your beauty, your perfect elegance, the way you dress and act and your freshness…. I think freshness is another important key of your success, apart from your extraordinarly rich voice. You are simple and natural, but aristocratic at the same time. I think people in the world is bored by artificial stuffs, and your worldwide success on Got’s talent proves it.
I am not married and I don’t have children, should you wish to work with me, I promise you that I will work very very hard to deserve your choice. Working hard has never scared me
))
Thank you very much,
Aisa
Susan, your caring and giving nature is so heart-warming! You’re the most generous and loving person to do such a beautiful thing for someone else. And you are so full of fun, too! Love you so much, dear Susan! My dream is to someday meet you! Love, Kathy in Pa.
