5th February 2010 Susan’s week - Denmark, Haiti and the CBS Morning Show!

Last week Susan flew into London and stayed in a hotel in Kensington near her record label offices. After a bit of business she spent the afternoon shopping in Kensington High Street and just enjoying being in London.

The following morning she took a plane from Heathrow to Copenhagen where she appeared that evening at a charity gala at the Tivoli Concert Hall. She headlined the Danmark Indsamling Show and performed I Dreamed A Dream  to a standing ovation.

Susan said, “This was probably the largest concert hall audience I have ever performed to and it was a wonderful experience, a very warm reception”.

After her triumphant stage debut in Denmark, Susan and her team went out for an Italian meal to celebrate.

The next morning Susan awoke to find that a foot of snow had been dumped overnight.

“It felt like I was back in Scotland again! We have had so much snow there, and when I woke up in Copenhagen and looked out of my window it looked like Christmas again!”

Fortunately, the snow ploughs were already in action and Susan and her team made it to the airport. After a short delay they were on their way back home.

It had been a successful trip and Susan really enjoyed her first visit to a Scandinavian country.

“It was beautiful there, “ she commented, “I would love to go back –especially in the summer. I imagine it is even more beautiful.”

On Wednesday 3rd February, Susan attended the video shoot for the Helping Haiti - Everybody hurts single. When asked about she felt about her part in the project Susan commented, “ This is a cause you can’t ignore. This will lay the foundations for the future for the people of Haiti and for their children. .. I hope people will see the spirit in which this was done and buy the single.”

Towards the end of this week Susan will be interviewed by CBS Sunday Morning show. The crew are arriving from New York to Scotland on Sunday morning. They will set up in a picturesque location near to Susan’s home and catch up on her news and views. Susan has worked with the crew before and is really looking forward to showing them her home country.

Dear Susan.
I know my reply to this topic is a bit late, but I like you to know that we were very very proud having you visiting our small country and singing for the help the people of Haiti and women in Africa.
You did an AMAZING job and as you also saw people was standing for a long time to give you credit. Thanks for learning to say “TAK” in Danish. It was soo sweet.
I hope you consider to come to Denmark and give a couple of concerts. We are many who would LOVE to hear you in concert and I am looking forward to see your tour plan.
Many hugs and thanks for a wonderful album - I am listening to it several days a week.
Also, can’t wait listening to the Japanese song you have recorded. You are a very special and warm hearted person and I know the Japanese people will be trilled.
Bless you
Your fan

Dear Folks:
Does anyone know when that Good Morning America was aired? I surely wouldn’t like to miss it. Is there a schedule where we can see Susan be seen? When you come to Canada, Susan, I know that the west coast would like to see you too, but you leave closer to the east coast and from Ontario eastward, we are looking forward to you coming. I know you were to be in Mississauga, Ontario in December, but it was canceled, are you planing on coming sometime in this year? God bless you in your new employment of entertaining people. You will get a rich reward, when you stay close to knowing what your fans want. I am sure hopeful that you and Elaine Paige can do that duet you sang together when you got your 1 million album celebration from Pierce. Now that the sales are over 9 million, do you get another one? God bless you. Carol-Ann from Ontario, Canada

Elaine Paige is a SUPER PERSON.
She did not have to apolgize on this, (Susan’s Official Website) as almost all of us know you did NOT mean to hurt Susan. We know you are her friend and now, fellow performer. Elaine and Susan’s Duet should say it ALL. Elaine looked like a Mother watching her Daughter singing as an equal for the first time. Fellow Susafans have a problem with “jumping to conclusions"before all the facts are out. As a Susafan, I would like to apologize to Elaine Paige and hope others will also.

Dear Susan…your BGT audition will always remain my heart’s most favorite video, of any of your performances, for it showcases your exceptional vocal talent, delightful personality, and your incredible courage and determination.~~~Your Denmark performance, now holds second place in my heart, for there, one can enjoy your new confidence and stage presence, as you relaxed, and delivered your song with such tenderness/passion, as well as an even vibrato and beautiful tone placement. ~~~Compliments also, on your exquisite hair style and concert gown.  You blessed Denmark…and the world…with an inspired performance! Thank you for the way your song touches my very soul! ~Your forever grateful fan, Trish Pierce (CA USA)

Dear Susan:

You sounded magnificient and looked beautiful in your performance in Denmark. The audience at Tivoli Concert Hall chanted “Susan, Susan, Susan, Susan” at the end of a long standing ovation.
You looked delighted.

Looking forward to your interview at CBS next Sunday.

Dear Susan, thanks for letting us have the update on your travels and commitments. Sorry if we seem to be demanding but we all love to hear where you are and what you are doing. I suppose it is the price of fame. You certainly are a very busy lady and going from strength to strength. I saw your performance in Denmark on the web and it was mind boggling. You looked so happy, relaxed and confident, very beautiful and sang magnificently. I hope you saw the item in the Daily Telegraph praising your contribution to the single for Haiti. Thanks for sharing your gift with us.
