I am angry at her management for coming out so strongly with this veiled statement.  The host on CBS did not say Susan was planning a tour, he said that Susan hopes to one day be able to tour.  Why are they reacting so decisely to say no tour is planned.  Does the management think her fans are so dense we would just buy anything advertised without checking it out?  We are not on the level of the Nigerian scam believers.  This management needs to do much better things with their time—like making sure Susan knows how to protect her voice.  She has never done this volume of singing in such big venues.  It is obvious she needs to protect her magnificent voice.  They could also use some training in how to help her when she is overwhelmed (where were they when the airport incident got out of hand)?  In a few months maybe Susan could make another cd—we don’t need her to be on a big tour.  We will buy anything she does.  She seemed to enjoy making the first one.  I also think the managment should have more sayso on her appearances.  She certainly deserves more time than she had on CBS.  And what about her singing at least two songs if she feels up to it?  She must get tired of I Dreamed a Dream ” all the time.  We love it everytime she sings it…but why not let her choose another song off her album to sing, or even just another song she likes.  Can’t you negotiate these things?  Personally, I could have slapped Oprah for saying ,“wow, three yeses” and then for interrupting Susan’s sweet attempt to engage with the audience by having an offhand bored remark and going on to talk about the CD.  Our Susan deserves better than this.  She certainly deserved equal time with Adam Lambert.  He may be talented and entertaining but Susan fans are many around the world and we want to see more of her.

Susan has been working like a dog for nearly a year now. Am I the only one who thinks she deserves to take some real time off and tend to her personal life? We would all be ready to have her back any time. If we really love her, we should tell her to take a break for a few months and decompress and search for some personal, private joy at long last. Otherwise, we are very selfish. And Sony, this means you, too. You have her believing that she has to stay on this tread mill. Give her a break. Help her find a rewarding personal life. She will come back better than ever, and her fans will be here.
