Susan Boyle’s I Dreamed A Dream (Columbia Records) made a historical introduction to the charts today as the album achieved the highest first week sales of 2009 as well as the largest ever debut for a female artist on the Billboard 200 in the Soundscan era. I Dreamed A Dream topped the charts selling 700,763 copies in the U.S.

As Susan Boyle’s album ‘I Dreamed A Dream’ confirms its place at the top of the UK, Australian and Irish charts today and continues to race to number 1 in the US, Canada, New Zealand and hits #1 iTunes status in France, Spain, Switzerland, Ireland and Japan the message across the world is clear -Susan Boyle has validated her place among music giants.
