A Message From Down Under.
6th November 2011
Today has been a thoroughly brilliant day. It started with lunch at the famous Bondi Beach at a restaurant called Icebergs, which had the most beautiful view of the beach and the ocean with family. Then it was off to the ‘Wildlife Sydney’, where I met with the local wildlife. Not only did I get to stroke the Koalas, I also was able to go into an enclosure and get up close to new born Koalas as well as seeing Kangaroos and a huge 40 year old crocodile. It was wonderful and a real dream of mine to see Koala bears up close.
This evening, I met with my team in Australia, at a wonderful restaurant overlooking the Sydney Harbour bridge and the Opera House where they presented me with two discs, it was hard to comprehend but within two days of the album ‘Someone To Watch Over Me’ being launched in Australia, it has already gone platinum. I met with Dennis, the head of Sony Australia and his wonderful team who have made me feel so welcome in this fantastic country. I really am having the time of my life and never thought I’d see Australia in my lifetime, so this really is a dream come true. There is so much to see and do in Sydney that I will send another update tomorrow once I have met with some of my Australian fans.
