I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. I hope 2015 is a good year for you.
Today is a very special day for me. Six years ago I stepped on to the Britain's Got Talent stage in Glasgow with the hope of becoming a professional singer. Six years on, my dream is still going strong and I still can't quite believe all that has happened.
Six albums, the start of my global tour, a biography, a movie role to mention just a few of the incredible and life changing moments that have happened in the past six years. I have travelled the world, seen places I never thought possible in my lifetime and also managed to gain an incredible extended family around the world -my fans- who have supported and loved me and shown more kindness to me than I deserve. I'm a very lucky lady and count my blessings everyday.
The start of 2015 looks just as inspiring with lots planned for this year……. But you know me I like to surprise you with my plans so for now I'm keeping them a secret!
To all of you who have shown me such love, warmth and friendship I thank you. Six years ago I said I felt like an outsider looking in, well six years on I definitely feel like I have made a contribution and have an active role in life as opposed to watching life pass me by. I've learnt to embrace the opportunities and above all enjoy it. I've lived more of a life in the past 6 years than in the previous decades before I auditioned.
Thank you to all who have made this possible and been a part of my incredible six year adventure. Here's to many more years ahead.
