Last week Susan flew to London and stayed in a hotel in Kensington near her record label offices. After a bit of business she spent the afternoon shopping in Kensington on High Street and just enjoying being in London.
The following morning she took a plane from Heathrow to Copenhagen where she appeared that evening at a charity gala at the Tivoli Concert Hall. She headlined the ‘Danmarks Indsamling’ show and performed “I Dreamed A Dream” to a standing ovation.
Susan said, “This was probably the largest concert hall audience I have ever performed to and it was a wonderful experience, a very warm reception.”
After her triumphant stage debut in Denmark, Susan and her team went out for an Italian meal to celebrate.
The next morning Susan awoke to find that a foot of snow had been dumped overnight.
“It felt like I was back in Scotland again! We have had so much snow there, and when I woke up in Copenhagen and looked out of my window it looked like Christmas again!”
Fortunately, the snowplows were already in action and Susan and her team made it to the airport. After a short delay they were on their way back home.
It had been a successful trip and Susan really enjoyed her first visit to a Scandinavian country.
“It was beautiful there, “ she commented. “I would love to go back –especially in the summer. I imagine it is even more beautiful.”
On Wednesday, February 3rd, Susan attended the video shoot for the Helping Haiti - “Everybody Hurts” single. When asked about she felt about her part in the project Susan commented, “This is a cause you can’t ignore. This will lay the foundations for the future for the people of Haiti and for their children. .. I hope people will see the spirit in which this was done and buy the single.”
Towards the end of this week Susan will be interviewed by the CBS ‘Sunday Morning’ show. The crew are arriving from New York to Scotland on Sunday morning. They will set up in a picturesque location near to Susan’s home and catch up on her news and views. Susan has worked with the crew before and is really looking forward to showing them her home country.
You are an inspiration to other women to pursue their dreams! We would love to have you visit Illinois and bring sunshine and your love for music to our state!
Sincerely,
Lesley Smiley
Note to Sneakers - I certainly agree with you, Dateline would be spectacular for Susan - maybe Barbara Walters would sit down with her - although Barbara likes Lady Gaga - Gag! She voted Gaga as one of her ten most interesting people for 2009. Walters must be getting old and missing something. Susan was amazing in Denmark - the hair, the dress, and she looked very relaxed and smiling.

About Pebbles I had to chuckle. I’m a cat lover (and dogs too for that matter) and have one of my own. Once I kept a cat for a friend while she went on vacation for two weeks. She loved the cat dearly and was devoted to the cat. When she returned, the cat hid under the bed and wouldn’t come out despite much coaxing. I find that it is the nature of cats that if they are not with the one they love, they will love the one they’re with. They are very adaptable creatures.

The Denmark performance was simply stunning. Susan, you sounded and looked breathtaking. I am so proud of you and how far you have come. Way to go, Girl!
As always our angel is flying ,with love and kindness ,as is her singing waiting for the next cd lp to buy and collect ,I watched the granny awards ,I could not believe that any of them could sing let alone the prancing of the lost tribe yuk I have waited a very long time to see a true singing sensations come thank you Jesus for this very rare gift AMEN
I loved the power in Susan’s voice in Denmark. Loved her necklace and have been hoping to see her wear something along that style. Diamonds would look very nice in that style of necklace (maybe a little bit thicker) on Susan.
I would still like to know from this official site what portion of the proceeds from this Haiti single are going directly to Haiti and where in Haiti. I’m kind of disappointed in the single (not in Susan). I wish she had done Hope for Haiti, but I’m glad she was able to take part in something. She should feel very good about that.
The Denmark interview at Susan’s house was great. I love listening to Susan talk and do full interviews as much as I love seeing/hearing her sing. I hope the upcoming CBS interview is not going to be in the over-edited teaser style. I don’t watch the CBS Sunday Morning Show so I hope the air date will be confirmed here in the news section in plenty of time before it is set to air with more details of what is going to be on the show. I think Susan is more worthy of prime time, but it is nice of CBS to put forth the effort to see Susan in her own country.
Will NBC be doing more with Susan soon? With the exception of over-editing their footage with Susan, NBC has done the best by her so far in the US. I like how they always do something special for her (even declaring November 23rd Susan Boyle Day). I would also like to see Dateline do a special on Susan. Dateline tends to go in-depth and does entire shows on people like Susan (sometimes 2 hours)....and it happens to be on NBC. I didn’t even realize that NBC is the network that I watch most in general until Susan came along. I also realized that CBS is the network I watch least so I’m interested to see what they do with Susan. I hope she comes here to appear on Craig Ferguson, which is on CBS late night.
Susan your performance in Copenhagen was fabulous and you looked stunning, just love those long earrings. Cannot wait to see the video for the charity Haiti single, the single is just brilliantly beautiful. I live in the USA so the CBS Morning Show will be a very nice Valentine Treat, thank you.
I went back and watched Susan’s Denmark performance. I agree with the comment about Susan’s WONDERFUL hair style. That is the most becoming style for her. I hope she will continue to have it. She’s a beautiful woman, and that hair style does justice to her beautiful face and eyes.
Also loved it when I could hear the audience chanting, “SUSAN BOYLE, SUSAN BOYLE, SUSAN BOYLE!” I was listening via headset. Don’t know if you can hear the chanting with speakers.
Bravo, Susan!
I’ve loved watching the videos of Susan’s visit to Denmark and of her at the recording studio to do her part in Everybody Hurts. Susan, whoever it was who did your hair in Denmark - you need to hire to travel with you. Your hair was the most beautiful hairdo I’ve seen for you yet - Love the fullness in the back and the up-flip! It’s also so much fun to watch you grow as a performer - becoming more and more relaxed - girl, you just get better and better! My Valentine’s Day and 12th anniversary will be even more special with your interview on the “Sunday Morning” show.
Keep on singing, lassie!
Your devoted fan in Texas ~ Jeanenne
